# About Manel ^ Urindar
I am now studying professional photography at the IEFC school, Barcelona, doing the second of their four-year professional photography degree.
My current goal is to learn as much as I can from whatever sources, while I start my own photographic venture
to take on personal as well as commercial projects.
My main photographic interests are portraits of people and animals, wildlife and nature photography, photojournalism and traveling photography, covering popular events and conceptual photography.
I am more of a digital shooter, though I can work on film as well. Depending on the theme and mood, I work on color or black and white.
My studies in computer engineering give me a lot of insight and useful skills in the new digital world of photography. For example, I extensively use linux and open source software in my digital workflow, and not just adobe products like most photographers do.
Finally, my travelling experience and side abilities make me feel comfortable shooting at a variety of location types and conditions most city based photographers dont want to go to.

7h3 Numb3r5 (The Numbers)
Numbers can be beautiful. House numbers from around, as well as street numbers, big numbers... anything goes.
Numbers participated on a collective exposition "Foto Festa 2008" as part of the IEFC selection of alumni's work.
Old doors are beautiful
Old doors have a strange personality in them. As time passes, doors stop being standard objects and become more like old people, bearing the signs of a long life. Wood or metal, dented or rusted, painted or not, old doors can be beautiful.
88 unique souls
Every person is unique. But some are more unique than others. Sometimes you get lucky and can take a photograph of someone whom you can feel is not an ordinary person, even if he is socially felt like one. When personality and character make a person glow, you feel you are touching a unique soul.
I feel their feelings
I feel animals have feelings. They can experience sadness, joy, frustration, anger... This series is meant to capture those moments in which animals show their personalities and feelings clearly, even to the unaccostumed eye.

# Devoured books
- (3 / 5) The moment it clicks (Joe McNally)
This book deals with strobe techniques on studio and on the go. Its easy to read and understand, and you can see how a strobe addict works. - (4 / 5) The Photograph: Composition & Color Design [ILLUSTRATED] (Hardcover) (by Harald Mante)
One of the best books I've read on composition and color, almost from a painter's perspective. Dots, lines, groups, patterns, color relations... a good book on one of the basic subjects. Only wish the texts where longer.
